Chicken Up: Raising the Bar for Korean Chicken Dining

Singapore’s No.1 Korean Fried Chicken, Chicken Up, first opened its doors in 2010 at its pioneer branch in Tanjong Pagar in Singapore. Currently, it has six locations in Singapore located at Tanjong Pagar, Tampines, Jurong East, Buangkok, Parkway Parade, Orchard and one in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

In the past Chicken Up has been picked by Tan Hsueh Yun, food editor at Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Ltd., as the best-tasting Korean Fried Chicken in Singapore from a blind test taste challenge.

  1. 12 hours of marinating? Wow. I’d love to try out this restaurant. Hope they open up a franchise here in the Philippines. 🙂 Or maybe I’d just put it in my must-try list when I go to Singapore.

  3. I have friends in Singapore, I’ll inform them about this. Anyways, I’m really drooling with the chicken dishes. Can’t wait to be in that restaurant and take photos of the awesome interior! I can also wait for a branch here in Cebu (I wish).

  4. There are more and more Korean themed restaurants here opening featuring chicken. One thing all of them have in common is the rediculously small pieces of chicken. I wonder if that is also the case in Chicken Up? Instead of selling me 6 pieces for this price (which is actually a piece of chicken wing cut into half and sold as 2), I would rather be served 2 full and LARGE chicken wings. 🙂

  6. Whoah! Just by looking at the images of the food they offered, I am sure that they all look delish!!! That would be a plus as well knowing that they also provide good customer service – that’s something not so common to many restaurants these days.

  7. tried chicken up twice, once as a paying patron and once for media invite. though they’re really tasty (love their cheese deokbokgi, super yummy!) i still find them a little too pricey, especially their KFC (korean fried chicken). an indulgence (in terms of money) once in a while will be worth the penny and calories though.
